01 The Invisible River
A river of wind flows along every highway — and nobody is capturing it
Every truck at 60 km/h creates a 4–8 m/s wind pulse. Multiply by 50,000 vehicles/day across 150,000 km of highways — an energy resource hiding in plain sight.
↑ Animated: trucks generate wind pulses harvested by roadside MVAWT turbines
🌬️ The wind is already there
Research confirms: heavy trucks create wind of 4–8 m/s at just 1 meter from the road edge. Thousands of energy pulses per hour on any busy expressway.
⚡ Conventional turbines can't harvest it
Traditional turbines need 5+ m/s to even start. They're designed for hilltops — not chaotic, low-speed, multi-directional highway turbulence.
🔮 Until now
Magnus-effect turbines start at 2 m/s and capture wind from all directions. Purpose-built for the exact conditions highways create.
02 The Physics
The Magnus effect — nature's hidden force, weaponized for energy
In 1852, Heinrich Gustav Magnus discovered that a spinning cylinder in airflow experiences lateral force. The same physics curving a footballer's free kick can generate electricity from the lightest breeze.
↑ Live: spinning cylinder deflects airflow → low pressure above → LIFT force
How it works
A cylinder spins in moving air. One side accelerates airflow (low pressure), the other decelerates it (high pressure). The pressure difference creates lift — up to 14× the lift of a conventional airfoil.
Why not blades?
At 2–5 m/s, airfoil blades suffer laminar separation and stall. Spinning cylinders overcome this by injecting momentum into the boundary layer — producing 3× more power in low wind.
Battle-tested
Challenergy (Japan) commercially deploys Magnus VAWTs. Their unit survived Typhoon Chanthu — Category 5, gusts of 84 m/s. The technology is validated.
03 Our Innovation
Bladeless. Silent. Solar-crowned. Built for India's roads.
Each unit integrates spinning cylinders with a solar panel on top — the world's first highway-optimized wind-solar hybrid. Engineered for extreme heat, monsoon, dust, and millions of vehicles.
↑ MVAWT concept — rotating cylinders + solar crown on vertical axis
6 decisive advantages
↓ Low-wind dominance
Generates from 2 m/s. Produces 3× more power than bladed turbines in the 2–5 m/s highway wind zone.
⊕ Omnidirectional 360°
Vertical axis captures wind from all directions. No yaw mechanism needed for chaotic highway turbulence.
◇ Zero blade-throw risk
Solid cylinders can't fragment. Self-regulating in storms. Tested to 84 m/s. Inherently traffic-safe.
♫ Silent (52 dB)
Highway noise (70–80 dB) completely masks turbine sound. Zero community opposition.
🕊 Bird & wildlife safe
No blade-tip kill mechanism. Visible cylinders at low speed. Clean energy that's actually clean.
☀ Wind + Solar hybrid
Wind peaks in monsoon when solar drops. Traffic wind at night when solar sleeps. Combined: 50% capacity utilization.
